STORMWATER MANAGEMENT
Stormwater Management Plans, or SWMPs, are comprehensive studies that examine the linkages between drainage servicing, land use planning and environmental protection. Their purpose is to support the growth of a community in a way that maintains or ideally enhances the overall health of a watershed. As such, the SWMP can be a powerful tool that enables a municipality to set a clear direction for the future of their community. All new developments including single family, duplexes, triplexes and any larger developments must prepare a stormwater management plan.
